¿Qué tal? Espero que se encuentren bien .En este post les quiero recomendar una serie de TV creada para aprender español.  Es un poco antigua, pero la historia está muy bien trabajada y pueden seguirla poco a poco. Los 52 capítulos están disponibles en el siguiente enlace: DESTINOS

I hope you are well . In this post I want to recommend you a TV series created to learn Spanish. It is a little old, but the story is very well crafted and you can follow it  at your own pace. The 52 chapters are available  through  the above link.

In Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish, lawyer Raquel Rodríguez travels to Spain, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and finally to Mexico, all to solve a secret from Don Fernando's past. Destinos is in conversational Spanish, with some narration in English and in Spanish. Every episode covers new grammatical concepts, vocabulary, and cultural practices, with a review at the end. As you go from episode to episode and destination to destination, the content grows more challenging.

 

 

Practica tu español con las noticias

Hola a todos,
Espero que se encuentren todos bien. En este post les quiero hablar de un muy buen sitio para practicar el español escuchando noticias. Las noticias están clasificadas en niveles:  desde A1 para principiantes hasta C1 que es el nivel más avanzado. Les recomiendo comenzar con el nivel más bajo y subir progresivamente a los otros niveles.

Les dejo el enlance, el sitio se llama Practica Español y pertenece a la Fundación de la lengua española y al Instituto Cervantes.

También les recuerdo que hay otro sitio llamado News in Slow Spanish donde también pueden acceder a noticias con audio y también clasificadas en diferentes niveles.

I hope you are all well. In this post I want to talk about a very good internet site to practice your Spanish by listening to news. The news are classified into levels from A1 for beginners to C1 which is the most advanced level. I recommend you start with the lowest level and gradually try the other levels.
Here is the link, the website is called Practice Spanish and belongs to the Foundation of the Spanish language and the Instituto Cervantes.

I also remind you that there is another site called "News in Slow Spanish" where you can also access news and audio classified at different levels.

¡Feliz Año Nuevo!
Hola a todos, después de un mes de silencio estoy preparada otra vez para actualizar esta páginas. ¿Donde estaba Verónica? Muy, muy ocupada con mi curso en España y recorriendo algunas de las ciudades más hermosas de la "madre patria" (Ver: " España en Invierno") . Lamentablemente no tuve mucho acceso al internet durante mi viaje asi que mil disculpas por el silencio durante el mes de enero.
Les recuerdo que comenzamos las clases la próxima semana, si tienen alguna duda no duden en contactarme. Hasta entonces.

Hi everyone, after a month of silence I am ready again to update these pages. Where was Verónica? Very, very busy with my course in Spain and touring some of the most beautiful cities of the "motherland". (See my next post: "España en Invierno"). Unfortunately I did not have much access to internet during my trip so apologies for the silence during the month of January. Los planes para 2014

Falta solamente un día para despedir el año 2013. En esta época siempre miramos hacia atrás y evaluamos el año que se nos va. También es el momento de pensar en nuestros planes, las cosas que queremos hacer y lo que queremos continuar haciendo.

¿Continuaré estudiando español en 2014???????

Si no están seguros, aquí les dejo un artículo en el que se habla de los beneficios de aprender una lengua, en este artículo los expertos señalan que:

"Aprender otro idioma supone adquirir mayor plasticidad cerebral, ya que mejora la concentración, favorece la capacidad del trabajador y es en conjunto una gimnasia cerebral que retrasa el envejecimiento y el desarrollo de enfermedades como el Alzhéimer". ¿Qué opinan?

Aparte de los beneficios ya señalados, aprender una segunda lengua sirve incluso para mejorar la propia lengua. Aprendemos la segunda lengua a partir de los conocimientos y experiencias que ya tenemos con nuestra lengua nativa. Only one day to say good bye to the year 2013. At this time we normally look back and reflect on the past year. It is also the time to think about our plans , things we want to do and what we want to continue doing. Will I continue studying Spanish in 2014 ? ? ? ?

Apart from the benefits already mentioned, learning a second language improves our own language, we learn a second language considering  the knowledge and experience that we have with our native language . A celebrar la Navidad

Hola a todos,
Se acerca la Navidad y con ella un mes de muchas celebraciones. Esta semana es mi segunda semana de celebraciones de fin de año, celebraciones de logros y de bendiciones. Y ciertamente mi familia, mis amigos y mis estudiantes se encuentran dentro de las bendiciones
Esta vez les dejo un interesante enlance a un sitio de un colega profesor de español. En este sitio encontrarán una unidad didáctica con el vocabulario relativo a las tradiciones, costumbres y objetos que adornan las fiestas de Navidad. Esta hecho para nivel principiante, creo que es una entretenida manera de practicar el español para los niveles más avanzados.

Christmas is coming and with it a month of many celebrations. This week is my second week of "end of the year" celebrations, celebrations of accomplishments and blessings. And certainly my family, my friends and my students are among the blessings.
This week I leave you with an interesting site of a colleague. On this site you will find a teaching unit with the vocabulary of the traditions, customs and objects related to Christmas holidays. It's for beginners level, I think it's a fun way to practice your Spanish if you are more advanced.
